Moonstone Cards

I just finished up another round of sketch cards for 5finity Productions! This time the work was for Moonstone Comics and I was able to draw one of my favorite classic characters, The Phantom! I realize he's just a guy in purple tights with a gun, but for some reason I've always really liked him! He are some photos of the cards!
PS. The Mandy Sketch card I did is still up on ebay! Place your bid! Time is running out!

Mandy Sketch Cards

One of the projects that I have been working on as of late are sketch cards for the Mandy trading card series by Dean Yeagle ( Thanks to Steve over at 5finity Productions for the chance to do some work for this! Here are some photos of a couple of cards (sorry about the res on these...I don't know how to work my fiance's camera very well) Look for them in your local comic shop soon!

Halloween 09

So Halloween is my favorite holiday! It has been since I was a kid. My Mom creating some amazing costumes, running from house to house getting candy (which I rarely ever finished), the smell in the air, the scary movies on TV. I love it all! So my fiance and I had been planning our costumes for a while. She started on her at the beginning of the month. I drug my feet a's what we came up with enjoy!

Biggest Moment In My Life So Far Part II

It has been WAAAAY to long since I posted last! Just to fill you in on what I have been up to. I flew to California with my girlfr...I"ll get to that in a minute, picked up her car and drove it back to Savannah. I don't recommend that you try driving that but if you do bring along as good of a co-pilot as I did (thanks honey!). We then moved...which I think is probably what my Hell would eternity of looking at all of your stuff, wondering where it came from, packing it, moving it on one of the hottest days, unpacking, and then doing it all over again... Now for the big news if you made it this far... Sasha and I are engaged! I was nervous as all get out, but she said yes and now the planning begins!
I have also been hard at work! I recently finished illustrations for an upcoming TV show called the Phantoms of History (thanks Jamie!), another XCX Race poster (thanks Mike!), and a bunch of commissions(thanks Alex!). I am also working a some sketch cards for the upcoming Deal Yeagle "Mandy" trading card series, as well as a Moonstone Comics trading card series (thanks Steve!).
SO that''s some art.

With the Heroes Con looming over my head, I have been drawing as much as possible. I've been keeping myself busy with a few art benefit that I have been asked to participate in. I love doing things like this. Not only am I flattered to be asked to contribute to some great causes, but it keeps me drawing and trying new things!
This is a Batman that I hammered out as a warm up to the piece that I just turned in, which I'll post soon.

Heroes Con

SO. Mike and I have just been moved from our original spot to the corner of the convention floor. Not super happy about the move but I still think that it'll be a good time! We are sitting at table 6 now not at 741 as originally posted. Anyone who's going to be there stop by and say hey!

Sup Girl Commission

So it's been quite a while since I posted last! My girlfriend (finally) moved back to Savannah so most of my free time as of late I've tried to spend with her... you know making up for the time that we spent apart... But what I have finished is something that is not only for a good cause, but is dealing with a subject close to my heart.
The artwork below will be auctioned off as a set (original pencils, inks and a high quality print) at the Chicago Comic Con coming up on October 12th and is designed to raise money for the Marla Bea Benefit ( Check out the website for more info and to check out some of the other art that will be up on the auction block.

Rorschach Inks

Here are the inks for the pencils below. I drew this for a fan art contest on the website
While I didn't win the grand prize I did win a Watchmen gift pack and even cooler than that, This piece was selected due to "sheer coolness."

I can't think of a better prize than that!

So Watchmen opens on Friday and I'm pretty excited about it. I decided to do a sketch and it turned into...well a finished piece. I'll have the inks up tomorrow.
